I recently had a 20‑minute alpha wave therapy session, and the experience was quite remarkable. As soon as the machine was turned on, I could feel gentle waves moving through my brain. My eyelids got heavier, and a sense of calm started kicking in. By the time the session ended, I felt lighter and more centered and a little dizzy, which went away as I started walking around.
The calmness stayed with me on my drive home. I noticed I was more relaxed than usual, with none of the typical tension and stresses that I usually carry. At home, the feeling continued. As a single mum, life can be demanding and I can get triggered by 3 teenagers on a regular, as expected. But that day I felt more patient, steady, and at ease. That night, I slept more deeply than I have in a long time, waking up feeling truly rested.
